The King's Academy is a Christ-centered, college-preparatory school seeking to partner with Christian families whose students are typically working in the above average academic range in the classroom and on standardized tests. Other factors that are considered are church involvement, the student’s history on report cards, their personal behavior, and input from parents and students at the family conference.
HOW LONG HAS THE KING'S ACADEMY BEEN A PART OF THE LAKE OF THE OZARKS COMMUNITY?
The King's Academy founded a preschool in 2003. Starting in 2012, the elementary school has added a grade level each year. We now offer kindergarten through grade eight.
IS THE SCHOOL ACCREDITED?
The King's Academy is accredited by the National Lutheran School Association (NLSA) and Missouri Nonpublic School Accrediting Association (MNSAA).
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE ENROLLED?
There are about 180 students enrolled in The King's Academy, marking consecutive growth since its opening.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM CLASS SIZE?
To facilitate optimum learning we strive to maintain the following class sizes: 3PK (14 students with a teacher and aide), 4PK (16 students with a teacher and aide), and Kindergarten through Grade 8 (16 students).
AT WHAT AGE IS MY CHILD ELIGIBLE FOR PRESCHOOL AT THE KING'S ACADEMY?
Students should be three years old by August 1 and toilet trained to be eligible for our program.
WHAT ARE SCHOOL HOURS?
Elementary students may be dropped off as early as 7:45 AM and picked up no later than 3:20 PM. Preschool students start at 8:15 AM. Half day students finish at 11:15. For an additional fee, the Before and After School Program provides supervised student activities from 7:15-8:00 AM and 3:20-5:30 PM for all students.

DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE TECHNOLOGY?
Each classroom, kindergarten through 8th grade, is equipped with Wi-Fi, interactive projectors and whiteboard technology. Kindergarten through second grade have individual iPads. Students in grades three through eight have individual Chromebooks. All students in Grade 3 and up receive an @kingsacademylo.com email address. Younger students will learn how to keyboard while older students will learn the ins and outs of computing.
DOES THE SCHOOL HAVE AFTER-SCHOOL CARE?
Yes, all students may stay until 5:30 PM for an additional charge. They may stay every day or sign up at drop-off in the morning.
